I will make you happy! May 24, 2010 at 4:13 pm
What if I told you that I was going to make you happy?
What if I said I will show you how to make money and how to keep it?
I bet that got your attention.
You stopped thinking about what else you wanted to get done today didn’t you?
Just think what I just did. I grabbed your attention by offering you something you really want. I appealed to your basic instincts. I offered you pretty much everything you want.
Guess what? This is how you get people interested in what you want to sell. It’s a psychological game! What can I say that will get your attention?
Obviously you can’t just promise anything, people would see straight through you in a few seconds. But, if you can give people a taste, an idea, a way of getting closer to what they’re really after.
Appeal to people’s desires. Grab their attention and then lead them where you want them to go. i.e. get them to buy your product, get them to join you on your journey!
Why not think of it as a game where you are trying to convince someone to believe in what you’re saying. Never, ever try to con people, it’s immoral and illegal and will always backfire. Try to show them how your product or your service will benefit them. How it will improve their lives.
How do I make a fortune? at 2:02 pm
It’s what makes the world go round, so we’re told – Money!
It’s a matter of offering value to a large audience. Lots of people queuing to pay you money for something they feel is worth buying from you. And how do I do that, you ask?
If I had a gadget that you and thousands of others wanted that did something that nothing else did then I’d be set to make a fortune. We dream about it, we imagine what life would be like with money constantly pouring in. Other people manage it, why can’t I?
Well there are 2 things you need:
A product and customers who want to buy from you. Without both you won’t make a penny. Getting off the ground is always the toughest thing to do. Once you do, you very quickly see what you should and shouldn’t do but no one ever tells you exactly what to do. Why? Because there is no set answer. Every product appeals to a different type of customer. Getting those customers needs a method that targets the right ones. It’s no good trying to sell a camera to someone who’s looking to buy a sofa.
How do I get started? Research! Think of an area or niche you’re interested in, say digital cameras. Get yourself onto Twitter, Facebook, MySpace etc. and search for words that are linked to the product you have in mind. Social media is used all the time buy online marketers. It will quickly get you in contact with people interested in the same niche. Use Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask to find out what the competition is like. Find out as much information as you possibly can. Quite often you will find that there is simply too much competition and you will want to consider another niche product.
You can become an affiliate and try selling a product for someone else. The product is already available, all you have to do is sell it. The downside being that you will get a tiny fraction of the sale price. If you had your own product, you’d get the full amount.
Buy Low Sell High March 26, 2010 at 8:09 am
“Buy low sell high” – that’s the idea but how to put it into practice?
Everyone would like to know an easy way to do this. The reality is you have to work at it.
Knowing how to lay your hands on something that you can sell for a profit and a significant one is where most of us would like to be. High street shops manage it so why can’t you? Well you have to know where to look and then what to do.
The best source of information? THE INTERNET! Not shocking really is it?
A great place to look for bargains are auctions but, be careful as there is always commission to pay to the auctioneer. Make sure you know what the typical sale price is for the goods you are thinking of selling. Be extra careful of late amendments to listings as this can mean you are bidding on a far cheaper item than you thought. You also need to have an idea of how much you are going to make on each item and whether this is going to be a viable long term course of action – are you just trying this for fun or is this going to be a serious form of income.
Playing the stock market or foreign exchanges (FOREX) is an option but you have to do your research as it will mean you need a significant pot of money to hand (several hundred £’s just for starters). The profit margins can be very small unless you are really lucky. Be prepared to make losses as the markets go down as well as up depending on many external factors. Software is available in abundance that claims to do all the donkey work for you but most are a total waste of money as they hardly ever deliver what they claim. The people who really make money here are the ones who study the markets very carefully and know just how the markets are affected by external factors such as expected company profits or even likely industrial action. Government budget figures have a massive effect on share prices so it makes sense to build yourself a calendar of key events.
Whatever you decide to do, be careful and don’t just jump in. Do your research and you will greatly reduce the chances of making a loss.
2 Minute Ranking with Google January 26, 2010 at 11:16 am
An amazing video explaining how Coty Schwabe gets site posts ranked in just 2 minutes. It can take slightly longer e.g. 11 minutes but hey, who’s complaining when we’re talking minutes.
2 minute ranking with google is so easy so why not watch his video at http://googledogsofwar.com/2-minute-ranking.html
If you sign up and you can get numerous free publications but that is your choice, the video is instantly available to watch.
Coty now has more videos free to watch where he goes into the details of the techniques he uses and explains pitfalls to avoid.
This is how I started getting ranked and I would recommend you do the same. It’s very simple and anyone can do it. What was more surprising to me was how quickly it worked, I had never seen it happen before. I’d always had to wait ages to find any of my articles ranking in Google. The breakthrough for me was in not trying to rank with article titles that are far too generic. You need to find long tail keywords that have very few results but cover what you want to say.
As soon as I approached it in this way – BINGO!
In fact I had one article appear in 55 seconds! Beat that if you can.
Google Adsense January 23, 2010 at 2:23 pm
Google Adsense is another form of commission income where by, if visitors to your site click on one of the Google adverts, you get paid a small amount. It very much depends on the company’s advert as to how much you get. It is mostly just a few cents but, every little helps. Now, there are some important things to be aware of with Google Adsense, you must NOT tell anyone to click the ads else Google will suspend your account plus you only get paid by Google when your account total reaches $100, £60 or 70 Euros.
The trick here is to have lots of traffic and lots of clicks. It’s worth having a Google Ad somewhere on your site but unless you get thousands of visitors per month you’re not going to make a huge amount. If you think you can just click on your own ads then Google have this tied up as well – they’ll just suspend your account.
The idea is that if you bring lots of new visitors then advertisers will be happy and keep advertising. After all the whole point of Google Adsense is to make money for Google from people and companies that advertise with them. If companies don’t get a return on their advertising they won’t advertise.
Well that’s the cold honest truth so it’s up to you.
A general word of warning: If your site is new, don’t fill it with ads. Google will always rank you quicker and higher if you DON’T have lots of ads and links to external sites. Keep in mind that Google rewards a site for being informative and not obviously a site for earning commissions and sales. Start with a clean site then when you start to rank more quickly you can add some ads.
I want YOU! at 1:03 pm
I make no apology for what I am about to say because I want you to know what I really want from Joe public at the end of the day.
I want you to use my advert links to buy things or even use my links to sign up as an affiliate yourself. Both ways I earn a commission and it won’t cost you anything. Does that sound clear and honest?
I’m not sure if people really believe anyone who says “It won’t cost you anything”.
A good friend of mine, Rob, is a total sceptic and just doesn’t believe me. I have told him many times that he could do the same but, he never does.
I think that most people think there is going to be some hidden cost down the line. THERE ISN’T!
Affiliate programs made available to the public by companies like Amazon, simply allow you to create an affiliate account (takes just a couple of minutes) then you are provided with your own affiliate link which you put on your website.
When a visitor clicks one of your links and then buys something from that company, you get a commission. The visitor doesn’t get charged any more than if they had gone directly. NOTHING MORE – honest!
Why? Because the more products they sell, the more money they make. If the customer was charged any more from affiliate links, they simply wouldn’t come back. They’d be shooting themselves in the foot.
Amazon’s affiliate program makes it incredibly easy. You can have affiliate links available in numerous formats within a few minutes. If you click on my link and buy something, I will get a commission.
It will NOT cost any more than if you go directly. I simply ask you to help me and use my links.
Thanks for reading this and I hope you see an opportunity for yourself.
Well I’m sure this article won’t help my ranking in Google but a bit of honesty is always refreshing.
Rocket Science at 10:24 am
It ain’t rocket science making money online. Join as many affiliate programs as you can, put the links on your website, tell visitors what you want them to do then advertise your site on Twitter, Facebook etc.
The key to it is to be clear and reassure people that it’s not costing them anything. More to follow.
Affiliate January 17, 2010 at 9:17 am
I have worked in IT for 20 years. Now I’ve decided to try affiliate marketing. I’m trying to use Twitter but it’s taking time to get the best effect. At creation time, there is a notable increase in traffic but this tends to drop away with time. Even though I find new followers, the traffic seems to disappear as quickly as it came. Perhaps someone would like to suggest where I am going wrong. I follow numerous new people, tweet regularly, send direct messages to new followers but the traffic always seems to fall away. It’s driving me mad.
The Craft December 26, 2009 at 12:39 pm
Making a profit is achieved either by pure luck or by research and hard work. Well it doesn’t have to be too much hard work.
