Google Adsense is another form of commission income where by, if visitors to your site click on one of the Google adverts, you get paid a small amount. It very much depends on the company’s advert as to how much you get. It is mostly just a few cents but, every little helps. Now, there are some important things to be aware of with Google Adsense, you must NOT tell anyone to click the ads else Google will suspend your account plus you only get paid by Google when your account total reaches $100, £60 or €70.
The trick here is to have lots of traffic and lots of clicks. It’s worth having a Google Ad somewhere on your site but unless you get thousands of visitors per month you’re not going to make a huge amount. If you think you can just click on your own ads then Google have this tied up as well – they’ll just suspend your account.
The idea is that if you bring lots of new visitors then advertisers will be happy and keep advertising. After all the whole point of Google Adsense is to make money for Google from people and companies that advertise with them. If companies don’t get a return on their advertising they won’t advertise.
Well that’s the cold honest truth so it’s up to you.
A general word of warning: If your site is new, don’t fill it with ads. Google will always rank you quicker and higher if you DON’T have lots of ads and links to external sites. Keep in mind that Google rewards a site for being informative and not obviously a site for earning commissions and sales. Start with a clean site then when you start to rank more quickly you can add some ads.
