It’s what makes the world go round, so we’re told – Money!
It’s a matter of offering value to a large audience. Lots of people queuing to pay you money for something they feel is worth buying from you. And how do I do that, you ask?
If I had a gadget that you and thousands of others wanted that did something that nothing else did then I’d be set to make a fortune. We dream about it, we imagine what life would be like with money constantly pouring in. Other people manage it, why can’t I?
Well there are 2 things you need:
A product and customers who want to buy from you. Without both you won’t make a penny. Getting off the ground is always the toughest thing to do. Once you do, you very quickly see what you should and shouldn’t do but no one ever tells you exactly what to do. Why? Because there is no set answer. Every product appeals to a different type of customer. Getting those customers needs a method that targets the right ones. It’s no good trying to sell a camera to someone who’s looking to buy a sofa.
How do I get started? Research! Think of an area or niche you’re interested in, say digital cameras. Get yourself onto Twitter, Facebook, MySpace etc. and search for words that are linked to the product you have in mind. Social media is used all the time buy online marketers. It will quickly get you in contact with people interested in the same niche. Use Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask to find out what the competition is like. Find out as much information as you possibly can. Quite often you will find that there is simply too much competition and you will want to consider another niche product.
You can become an affiliate and try selling a product for someone else. The product is already available, all you have to do is sell it. The downside being that you will get a tiny fraction of the sale price. If you had your own product, you’d get the full amount.
